A rope halter can be used during liberty dressage groundwork and possibly for riding. It is important to handle the rope halter consciously and to attach it correctly. Consult an experienced instructor if you have never trained with a rope halter before. Never leave a rope halter on in the stable, pasture, or paddock, and never tie your horse with it, as a rope halter will not break or come loose when force is applied.
